Card board
Aluminum foil
Gold wrapper from a 5 gum pack “Lush”
Glue stick
Bone folder
Scissors

Strong glue like “E6000” or dimensional glaze
Step 1: Print the template and cut the shapes out of the cardboard.
Step 2: Make the base.
- The gum wrapper will be used to cover the base (cardboard piece #1).
- Use a bone folder to straighten out the wrinkles in the gum wrapper.
- Place the cardboard shape onto the wrapper and cut it as shown.
- Coat the cardboard using a glue stick and attach the foil.
- Fold the edges much like wrapping a present. Tuck the short sides in first then the top and bottom edges.
- Use the bone folder to flatten and crease the folds.
- On the front side, use a ballpoint pen to draw a horizontal bar across the middle.
Step 3: Make the Star Fleet symbol.
- Use aluminum foil to cover cardboard piece #2.
- Use a bone folder to straighten the wrinkles in the foil.
- Place the cardboard onto the aluminum and cut out the shape. Be sure to cut it a little larger than the template.
- Coat the cardboard using a glue stick and attach the foil.
- Fold the edges and flatten using a bone folder.
- Cut a second piece of aluminum foil in the shape of the symbol only this time make it a little smaller. (sorry we forgot to take a photo of this step)
- Use a glue stick to attach this smaller piece to cover the back.
Step 4: Attach the pieces
- Use your strong glue to attach the two pieces.
- Let it dry really well.
