this harbor in Camden, Maine. Where I sat for a time writing my story and dreaming about my future.
I'm not sure when my boat will set sail, but I'm getting ready!

The first night that I arrived in Camden, Maine I wandered down to the harbor and stopped in Atlantica for my supper.
Where water is served in beautiful blue glasses with schools of fish swimming a ring around the center.
The sweet hostesses gave me the best seat on the deck over looking the harbor.
From my seat I spotted a black cat.
I think that is good luck, don't you?
I enjoyed the wild caught salmon wrapped in prosciutto on a bed of melted safron leeks and peas. Yum!
It was a lucky night for I saw two beauties...
A mermaid on the side of a kayak and...
a sweet little girl named Ingrid peering through the back of her chair at me. We played peek-a-boo for a bit until I couldn't stand it any longer and had to pull out my camera. She was also visiting from New Hampshire with her parents and younger sister. Little ones like Ingrid always bring out the maker of magic and tender of wishes in me.

Today's first course for breakfast is a delicious lemon poppyseed bread topped with a peach and creme. oooh la la.
The waffles were paired with homemade sausage wrapped in bacon. One word: delish!
Owl's Head Light is perhaps my favorite lights.
Each time I've visited, I've been graced with bluebird skies that make the perfect backdrop for the crisp white structure.
What makes this my favorite lighthouse is the magnificent views. They say this is the only place in the US where the mountains meet the sea.
Another interesting tidbit about Owl's Head Light is that they say it is haunted. Do you enjoy ghost stories? CLICK HERE to see a video of haunted lighthouses of America.

Welcome back to my Hartstone Inn tour.
Here is a peek at my room, "The Loft." It was a cozy place to rest in between activities.
Today's breakfast starts with yogurt and homemade granola. It was ooooh so tasty. Ooops! My friend Pam dropped in and joined me this morning and I forgot to photograph the elegant pancakes. Swing by tomorrow for more breakfast at the Inn.
Let's take a walk around the Hartstone Inn. I want you to see the lovely gardens.
On the other side of the windows is where I sat for breakfast each day.

The back garden has raised beds for growing lettuce and herbs.

I am back from a wonderful vacation to Camden, Maine. This week I will share with you some of what I experienced. Let's start with the Hartstone, Inn.
As you first walk in the door, you are greeted by this large stone heart. Wouldn't this rock be a perfect addition to my heart rock collection?
Before I go any further, let me introduce you to the owners, Mary Jo and Michael Salmon. I can't say enough of the wonderful hospitality I experienced during my stay. I could see how every guest felt so welcomed.
Let's take a moment to stop in the orchid room. Here is where we can get a cup of coffee in the morning, tea and cookies in the afternoon, or enjoy a cocktail at happy hour.

The stylish couch is the perfect spot to enjoy a cocktail. Take a seat and let's look around this room a little more. Can I get you a peach martini? That is Mary Jo's recommendation.
Lovely details are found in every corner of the Inn.
Mary Jo has a passion for orchids. She has a greenhouse with over 400 orchids which ensure that she always has blooming orchids for the Inn.
Leaving the orchid room we can spy a little activity in the kitchen. Are you ready for your first Hartstone Inn breakfast?
Each breakfast is a two course meal. Today we start with a fresh berry crepe and raspberry creme anglaise.
The second dish for breakfast this morning has turkey, potatoes, eggs, cheese, with a pastry top. Yum!
