Yesterday I offered to watch my friend's kids.
We made fresh carrot/apple juice.
Set a little table.

reading a prayer in a mini gratitude and prayer journal that I designed.
(Subscribers of my newsletter can access and download the mini gratitude and prayer journal. Scroll down to see how. I think it will dress up the Thanksgiving table, don't you?)
We chatted about what we are grateful for then...
went to work on making tags to decorate a ...
For my first tag, I shared how I'm grateful for my wonderful neighbors. This put big smiles on Antonio's and Salina's faces since they live next door.
The kids had a blast assembling the tags, writing their grateful things, and decorating the little tree. They thought the punch to curve the corners of the paper was pretty cool.
This is an easy project to replicate. I used some "scrapbook" papers for the large tags, pieces of wall paper from an outdated sample book for the smaller tags and a photo I took of a leaf. If I didn't have the metal tree, I would collect sticks and put them in a vase or pot.
I had so much fun playing with the kids. We laughed, played Christmas music, sang wildly, and busted some cool dance moves.
Here's to playing and giving thanks!
