One of my favorite journal techniques is to photocopy images.
My friend Claudia was showing me this sunflower photo and she didn't like it. I instantly saw the journal potential in it.
I not only loved the petals as containers for a list of words, but check out the texture of that center! Yowza!
We all need to revisit those practices that help us to blossom. Life has a way of getting so busy and distracting that we need to stop and take a look at how we are living...at least this happens to me on a regular basis.
How about you? What practices help you to blossom?
Swing by tomorrow for more views of my new pocket journal.
Until then,
Namaste,
Kathryn Costa, Collage Diva

wow what a great idea - I have some sunflower images that I took earlier this year might just have to print some and give this a go,I'm sitting here with some magazine pages and I've just collaged 5 double page spreads ready for journaling!

Kathryn, I love this idea! The sunflower petals are such perfect containers for descriptive and inspiring words. I'm on a hunt for ways to display inspiring words for a project I have in mind. Now you've got me thinking...thank you!
