Several people e-mailed and asked if I would share the story of how I was published in the new Cloth, Paper, Scissors magazine titled, "Pages." Pictured above is a photo of a little accordion book that I made and submitted to the Artisan of the Year search hosted by Cloth, Paper, Scissors. To enter, I had to submit three pieces.
I was selected in the semi-final round and had the opportunity to send in my work. Although I didn't win the top award, my journal caught the eye of editor, Jenn Mason who invited me to write an article explaining my technique for creating these colorful pages.
I can't tell you how thrilled I am to see my experiment with office supplies and a photocopier in this beautiful magazine.
Cloth, Paper, Scissors runs reader challenges and I encourage you to take these prompts and run with them. It is one way to get your artwork published without writing an article. If however, you enjoy writing, I encourage you to send in your submissions to submissions@clothpaperscissors.com.
Winner Announcement!
The lucky winner of a copy of the premiere issue of Pages goes to:
Heloise Jones
Congratulations Heloise. Send me your mailing address and I'll get this copy right off to you.
