SoulCollage® is more than creating unique pictures from magazines. It is an opportunity to explore our thoughts and feelings. It is a way of checking-in. I'm rereading Carol Pearson's book, "Awakening the Heroes Within: Twelve Archetypes to Help Us Find Ourselves and Transform the World." I've started exploring each archetype and I'm creating SoulCollage® cards to illustrate the concepts.
The first archetype is the Innocent. As I read through the chapter, I thought about my current situation with my dear father's declining health. It has been a stressful three months for me. I'm feeling quite heart broken to watch a man who was so capable to now be weakened in body, mind, and spirit. I'm grateful for the time I spend with him each week and the daily chats on the phone.
As painful as it is to explore my feelings, I have also found comfort and joy in creating collages and preparing this slideshow called, "Journey of the Innocent."

I created this slideshow as part of a SoulCollage® blog party. I have invited SoulCollage® enthusiasts and beginners from all over the world to post SoulCollage® cards onto their blogs for July 31st. If you are interested in joining the party, you are welcome to create a post and add a link to it. Here are some helpful resources to get you started:
