For this challenge I scanned a page from a notebook, digitally erased the lines, and then made a brush in Photoshop. Pictured above are three Photoshop brushes that I made: Play, me-flower, and Collage Diva signature. What fun! By creating a brush with my own handwriting it is easy to change the color and size. I also love that I now have my Collage Diva signature loaded in my brush library - now I can just stamp it onto my artwork before saving it for the Web. Woot!
Here is a look at the original journal page that was the source for my new brushes.
Check out Michelle Ward's GPP blog and visit the other crusaders. There are so many creative bloggers who join in on the challenges each month. You are in for a treat as you stroll through the blog roll.

Kathryn - can I just say that you never appear to suffer from *cat got your tongue* because you are always generous with your posts and your comments and your emails. You are great with words as we have seen on many journal pages and posts on both of your blogs. I love this - that you scanned in your own work. I find that using real stuff in our digital pieces humanizes a mechanical process. *bravo* Thanks for sharing with the team!

Hello Kathryn,
I didn't got around on the crusade this month... thought I couldn't participate cause I don't have an artjournal... but then I see your post and "envy" you for your imagination on the crusade !
I made already several brushes myself, but none with my handwriting..
I "steal" your idea and use it in the future...:)
credits for you !
greets
Inge

Hi Kathryn - love the brushes - any chance you could do a tutorial for those of us (me!) who don't know how to do them - or at least point me in the right direction.

You're reminding me that I still haven't done a photoshop brush yet, but oh how I want to play with that. Love your journal mandala thingie, beautiful! It's so fun that you're joining the crusades now. Yay!
