I discovered these beautiful tea pyramids when I was out shopping this season looking for Christmas gifts. I'm a sucker for packaging that captures my attention. This is one of those gifts that I bought for myself this year. I love how each flavor has a different colored box with subtle images of the ingredients blended throughout the individual designs. The colors are so inviting. I will likely use them as inspiration for my art journal projects.
As I pulled them out I played with them like a child plays with blocks. Ah to play, this is the theme for January as suggested by Leah at Creative Everyday. That sense of child-like play is very sacred. I thought the beauty of the Tea of Life packaging, the tender moments enjoying a good cup of tea or coffee, and the playful photo shoot were all good examples of finding the sacred in every day living.
How do you like my Tea of Life - Tea Wheel?
What everyday item do you have lying about your home that you could play with today?
While you go looking for something to play with, I'll enjoy a cup of tea in my favorite mug.
Cheers!

Ahh! A good cup of tea. Now that's a ritual to savour and you've got it down pat, Kathryn. These are beautiful packages and I can tell they'd feel good to hold. Lovin' the mug too!
Saw your "Affirmation Catcher". Funny coincidence, I'd just made one and was playing around with it. Mine was just on looseleaf, though. Love yours. It's very pretty.

Oh, beautiful! No wonder they caught your eye. I'm imagining a colourful, playful tea party that I'd definitely want to attend. What fun!
Hmm... maybe a cup of this tea accompanied your 101 List creation :) Thanks for coming by and being so supportive of mine!

Hello Kathryn,
I've seen these beauties before ! Michelle Ward blogged once about them too.
I'm not really a regular teadrinker ( but I will make tea when you come over !), but I guess I would be tempted to buy them for the boxes alone !
The shape is great and the colorscheme...
I like how you played with them to take photographs. I'm sure they will inspire you again for something creative !
I spend my last day of the holiday cleaning the house, doing the laundry, cooking, finish my schoolwork, help my son make and finish an important powerpointpresentation he has to make... but I' ve been creative too !
I bought a cuttlebug yesterday.... and I'm so fond of the textures you can make with it. I ran all kinds of paper through it, envelopes, vellum,... I just LOVE the texture : I'm a tactile person...
I was in a mood to run everything through it that I got my hands on and was not too thick...:)
I' m curious how I will be using these textures in my own way.
My coat is also sewed, so I will have warm tomorrow surveilling the playground at school !
I still have several subject to blog about : showing the pictures of my kids is surely one of them !
Maybe I ask my daugher to do a photoshoot of me in my new coat...:)
I visited quickly the site you mentioned, but I will take my time to have a closer look. Damned... time again...
have a good week !!

What a fun way to interpret the play theme. I'm always amazed that my one year old daughter would rather play with household items that specified baby toys. I am going to take a clue from her... and you. Thanks for visiting my blog. I look forward to exploring yours further.

Hey Kathryn,
Thanks for your help with comments.
I LOVE your play materials in this post. Dreamy colors in patterns that make me think of the fabrics I used to dye.
This is a test comment to see if I can get it through...
Happy Monday!

We're having snow and freezing rain--drive safely--I hope to NOT drive at all, and I'm not fond of even WALKING on icy sidewalks.
My husband's previous wife died as a result of complications due to a fall on icy sidewalks.

Such beautiful boxes! I don't think we can get those in England (boo!) but I'm definitely going to have a look around.
I spotted lavender on one of the boxes; is that lavender tea? Sounds wonderful...
